HAPPY NEW YEAR MY FRIENDS!
Holy moly BABY month, you are here! And you came so quickly!
2017 was an epic year for me. I attained a lot of personal growth + wisdom, and because of that, an unbelievable + unshakeable confidence in myself. Aaron and I were graced with three new nieces, we found out we were expecting #littlebabybowman2, and we enjoyed George’s 2nd birthday + took him canoe camping in Algonquin.
We celebrated holidays + simple days and it was such an enjoyable year. I thank my lucky stars to have the hardworking husband that I have + the ability I have to be home with my little(s). I started a new job with SeneGence and am rocking a lip empire, one I am completely inspired and excited by. It really has changed my life in the most profound way–and I never in a million years would have thought that would happen. I mean, I just wanted a discount on lipstick…
I can only imagine how incredible 2018 is going to be + it really has started on the right foot.
I mean, let’s be R E A L here, I am super pregnant + totally ready to have a baby girl in our family (just typing that makes me so excited and weepy in the best way possible! I have a daughter!), it’s the best way to start a year! More LOVE!
Seeing as each passing day brings us closer to becoming a family of four, I have been really working on embracing every second with my little 2.5 year old firecracker. George is pretty much my bestie. He is so smart and capable, and loving + kind. He has become so incredibly self-determined which is remarkable (yet can be very hard on a super preggo mama, haha!) and I am so inspired by him. He is going to be the very best big brother and I can’t wait to see the bond that forms between him and sissie. I may just be constantly crying tears of awe + happiness #sorrynotsorry
I decided that this year I want to reset. I want to get back to basics + really create a thriving and happy home. I want to simplify our days and do something new and go outside more often. And cuddle. And play with trains. And just allow slow days to be the norm. I know these days are fleeting. The fact that George is 2.5 years old is baffling to me. He was just born you guys!
This year, I want to spend more time with my husband. I want to spend more time alone. I want to focus on self-care and not feel bad about it. I want to be the best mom and the best wife and the best entrepreneur I can be. I want to hustle my business more and I want to write more + I want to build an empire. I want to bake more and cook more and laugh more. I want to put my phone down and dance more. I want to take more pictures + share more on the blog. I want to eat better because it feels good + I want to travel and explore and make memories. I want to live simply but with the financial freedom I deserve + need. I want to work my butt off so I can take my family to Disney and go back to LA and visit friends + family. I want to read more books and take time for personal development. I want to help others more + inspire and create.
I want 2018 to be my very best year.
And it will be.
I just know it.
